Description
The Noetix HOBBS W1 is an ultra-bionic humanoid robot head engineered for lifelike, face-to-face interaction in human-facing settings. Built around a high-realism mechanical structure with platinum-silicone skin finished to a wax-figure level of detail, it pairs photorealistic appearance with a self-developed multimodal AI model for expressive, low-latency conversation.
A defining strength is its articulation: the platform offers up to 54 degrees of freedom, with 32 dedicated to the face and neck, enabling micro-expressions, gaze shifts, and natural head movement. Neck motion spans 35° pitch, 25° side tilt, and 90° pan, allowing HOBBS to turn toward and acknowledge each visitor. Dual RGB pupil cameras and a microphone array drive perception, while an Ubuntu-based on-device compute stack supports responsive dialogue.
Offered in single-head and half-body platform configurations, HOBBS suits entertainment and exhibition guiding, reception and service companionship, wellness-oriented interaction, and human-robot interaction research. Backend debugging tools let teams calibrate or script expressions for demonstrations and applied development.
