Panda is Alpha Robotics' multi-tray food delivery robot: a 1.2-metre runner with a panda-face display on top and open trays stacked down its body. It is the carrying workhorse of the range, built to take plates from the kitchen to the table and bring empties back, run after run, through a full service.

Its figures are aimed at volume. The trays carry about 30 kg in total, each tray is 380 × 380 mm, and the robot moves at up to 2 m/s with a braking distance of 200 mm or less. A shock-absorbing system keeps the trays steady so soups and drinks do not spill, and LiDAR, infrared and ultrasonic sensors hold ±50 mm positioning while the robot adjusts its route around people and chairs.

It is designed for Chinese and Western restaurants, hot-pot houses, bars, karaoke venues, hotel restaurants and reception areas. Between runs, the 10.1-inch screen (1280 × 800) and voice welcome guests, introduce dishes and carry adverts. Endurance is 8 hours or more per charge, and it returns to its charger unassisted.

Choose Panda when carrying capacity is the problem. If the robot's main job is to attract attention with a large advertising screen and spoken conversation, the Panda Ultra is the marketing-led model; if deliveries go to hotel rooms rather than tables, the Panda Hotel carries them in an enclosed cabinet.
