Descrizione
The Unitree R1-A5 Smart G is the R1-A5 dual-arm humanoid supplied as the Smart G package: a head, torso and two arms on a turning waist, mounted on a fixed base, with no legs and no wheeled chassis. Each arm has five degrees of freedom, the waist turns ±150° and the head pans ±115° and tilts ±36°, for 15 degrees of freedom in total with grippers fitted.
The A5 is the compact one of Unitree's two arm options. Forearm and upper arm together measure 420 mm, against 555 mm on the R1-A7, and the robot is about 700 × 357 × 190 mm and roughly 11 kg on external power. That suits a bench, a table or a test fixture where the work sits within a short reach: pick-and-place exercises, tabletop manipulation, sorting tasks and teleoperation setups. Each arm handles 2–4 kg depending on its posture, with ±0.1 mm end-clamp accuracy.
Smart G is one of two Smart packages on the R1-A5; the other is Smart H. Both are built on the robot described here, and the package letter identifies what is bundled with it: the end effector (Unitree offers a two-finger gripper, a three-finger dexterous hand and a five-finger dexterous hand), an optional wrist camera and an optional high-computing module. Those items are listed one by one on the Smart G quotation before you order.
Against the rest of the R1 range: the wheeled R1-A5-D adds a chassis and chassis LiDAR but limits waist rotation to ±35°, while Smart G keeps the full ±150° to work both sides of its station. The R1 Edu editions are a different robot altogether, a humanoid that walks on two legs. Onboard, Smart G has an 8-core CPU in the body, a second 8-core CPU with 10 TOPS of AI compute in the head, a binocular camera, four microphones and two speakers.

Domande frequenti
The Unitree R1-A5 Smart G Dual-Arm Humanoid Robot is priced at £6,441.91 in your market.
The R1-A5 robot itself, with two 5-DOF arms, the waist and head, the body and head computers, the binocular camera, microphones, speakers and the charger, together with the Smart G items. Which end effector Smart G carries (two-finger gripper, three-finger or five-finger dexterous hand), and whether a wrist camera or a high-computing module is part of it, is set out item by item on the quotation.
Both are packages of the same R1-A5 robot, with the same arms, head, sensors and computers. They are sold as separate packages with different contents, and the itemised quotation shows what each one includes, so you can compare them line by line before choosing.
No. The letter is shared, the robot is not. The R1-A5 has 5-DOF arms with 420 mm of forearm and upper arm and weighs about 11 kg; the R1-A7 has 7-DOF arms with 555 mm and weighs about 13 kg. Choose the A5 for compact reach and the A7 when the extra joints and reach matter.
The photo shows the R1 dual-arm robot fitted with two-finger grippers. The same picture is used for every R1 Smart package, so the end effector supplied with Smart G is the one named on your quotation.
It is sourced new through established distribution channels, ships worldwide and carries Unitree's 12-month manufacturer warranty, with technical support coordinated through Unitree's own service network. On-site installation is not included.
